Kiwanis of Glendale Car Seat Safety Inspection on April 18 2009 (Glendale, California)
Every two months the Kiwanis Club of Glendale, in conjunction with the California Highway Patrol and the Glendale Police Department hold a Car Seat Safety Inspection for infants, toddlers, and young children of up to 60 lbs. and 6 years of age. In addition, we have live scan fingerprinting for children and feed all the families that come and participate a delicious meal. Glendale Firefighters come out and hand out Fire Fighter hats to the children and let them check out the fire truck with flashing lights and bells & whistles. Our events are from 10am-2pm and are available on an Appointment basis. Through volunteers, donations and funding from the Glendale Memorial Hospital, this program allows our Organization to donate car seats to those in need as well as provide breast pumps for mother and child. Through our continuing efforts, our partnerships with other organizations and public feedback and involvement, Kiwanis of Glendale hopes to continue its efforts and establish future events that can assist our community and more importantly the CHILDREN of this community. Hail Kiwanis!
